Established in 2006, BookFest @ Malaysia has evolved into the country’s largest trilingual book exposition, earning recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records in 2016. Co-organised with Sin Chew Media Corporation Berhad, this event aligns with POPULAR’s objective of fostering a love for reading among Malaysians from all walks of life. Adding to the excitement, this year also marks the momentous celebration of POPULAR’s 100th anniversary.
Held at the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), BookFest boasts more than 500 booths featuring leading publishers, books and stationery distributors from across the ASEAN and Asia Pacific regions. Serving as a platform for local and international authors to showcase their works, this annual exposition has grown significantly in its offerings.
Guided by this year’s theme “Reading Together,’ we aim to ignite a love for reading and encourage lifelong learning for everyone through our diverse range of books and activities. The 18th edition of BookFest spans 100,000 sq ft, offering a diverse array of English, Chinese, and Malay reads, along with stationery, gifts, titbits, text and assessment, CDs and DVDs, gadgets and IT products, as well as electronics and electrical appliances.
Running over 9 days, BookFest @ Malaysia extends across two weekends and includes two Saturdays and two Sundays and is divided into two segments – Exhibition and Events:
The exhibition showcases the latest books from Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. Running from 6 to 14 April 2024, visitors can explore our exhibition from Halls 1 to 5. Halls 1 and 2 will feature Chinese Books, Anime & Comic, Text and Assessment, CDs & DVDs while Halls 4 and 5 will showcase English Books, Stationery, Gadgets & IT, and Titbits. The exhibition is open from 10 am to 10 pm daily. Admission is RM2.50 per ticket for a one-time entry, with a season pass available for RM10, allowing unlimited entry throughout the BookFest @ Malaysia 2024 promotion.
BookFest @ Malaysia offers a diverse range of fun-filled and exciting activities, including meet-and-greet sessions with renowned authors, interactive workshops, competitions with great prizes, and much more. Don’t miss these engaging events, which will take place at Main Stage @ Hall 1 and Hospitality Lounge 1!

The proposed packages provide the necessary options to optimise your stand’s presence. The minimum size for a shell scheme is 9 sq m.
